Ryan Seacrest mentioned that 37 Million votes were received yesterday which also happens be this season's highest vote count.
he also introduced Fantasia having a prolific career. She was performing the first song called "Bittersweet" from her upcoming album. When is the last time someone heard Fantasia on the radio? Right: Quite awhile ago! How can anyone call her career "Prolific"? It seemed that she was wearing something like a cat suit. But anyone shouldn't wear an outfit like that when they're not a size 0.
The Ford Commercial Video this week "Put the message in the Box". It consisted out of the four contestants doing a chinese fire drill.
Ryan went through the reviews of yesterday's duets. Then told the contestants that the first person that was safe was Casey James.
After this we got another performance this time by Daughtry singing the song "September". Unlike Fantasia's performance the audience actually seemed into Daughtry's song, even though the audience clearly showed that they had a lack of rhythm as they were completely off. The performance itself though was a millions times better than Fantasia's.
After dragging out the talking with the contestants the second contestant to hear that he was safe was Lee Dewyze.
It was time for yet another performance, this time it was Bon Jovi performing "Superman Tonight". The performance was awesome and entertaining.
We finally heard that the last person that was safe was Crystal Bowersox. This means that the person leaving this week is Michael Lynche.
Im glad Casey James is still in the top 3. He is very talented, however with the judges complaining about his singing, they are the problem. I know music and I lisoned very close to his singing and not to mention the insturments he was playing. He had only a few pitchy parts, but so did the others. These judges made me crazy and will not be watching American Idol next year. And most of my friends were complaining about it also. They seemed to make fun of him at every chance and they were the problem.
Kara with her truth, etc.. She needs to rewatch herself on these shows...
It's interesting to me how much emphasis is put on the actual winner of American Idol. In reality by the time the contestants get to the final 4 or 3 each of them has already won a career in singing. Take for example Micheal Lynch's rendtion of "A womans work". That song left Randy Jackson saying "I'm ready to call ???(name) right now and start" meaning he's ready to record a record with Micheal. The same is for Lee. He has a radio voice for sure. Crystal, while she may be the winner, is another talent that won't be left untapped. All of the contestants will go on to be successful, especially if they can write music too. Just look at last years "loser" he is bigger than the actual winner. I'll buy a Lee album online for sure.
I can't believe that Casey James is still in the competition. Well, whatever! I think Crystal Bowersox is going to win anyway. I think she is great. IMO the top two are still in it that is Bowersox and Dewyze. If James makes it past next week I will truly be surprised!
It just don't make much sense. If you were having a beauty contest than Ryan Seacrest should still be there. However, this is a talent contest and Ryan should of be voted off. This is the last time I will be watching American Idol because this is truly not fair. Michael Lynch should still be on American Idol. I don't know who will win but Ryan Seacrest should of been voted off!
wow!! what a surprise!! this will make it easy for mama sox to win with the final 3 line up. what happened?? there is something wrong with this picture!!!
I agree with the guest above. I will not be watching anymore either, not even next season. Casey should have been gone. Two weeks ago, Mike was compared to Luther Vandross and then put in the bottom two. Tonight he was gone, even though the judges said last night, Casey sounded bad when he started the duet, but then Mike came in with his soulful voice. It's not a singing contest anymore and the people voting don't know what their talking about. It shoud have been Michael that stayed, not Casey. Now I just don't care.
Some of the ladies that were voted off earlier were much better singers than Casey, Lee or Mike. Lee always looks scared to death. Mike has trouble hitting the high notes and Casey is just a pretty boy with a quiver in his voice.l
Lee has no star quality IMHO. Glad to Mike go...boring!
Crystal has a real style about her and she manages to sing well whatever is thrown her way.
But CASEY JAMES. Do NOT go home! He can definitely sing and is so sweet to watch. He will have a career as a model for Calvin Klein if all else fails. LOL
Here's why I think Crystal will be voted off next week: simply put, all of Big Mike's people who are back in the voting pool will not go for someone like Crystal. These are the macho guys who will vote mainly for Casey and put Lee and Casey in the finals. But then once Crystal's voters become available, they'll certainly go for Lee over Casey. I say Lee will win by a landslide.
I don't get it! Why is Casey James still in the competition? His singing ability is NOT all that. He should have gone home along time ago. It really doesn't matter at this point, because the winner will be Crystal Bowersox.
Sad not all the top three is my choice accept for Casey whom I hope will be this year Idol,,reason is hes marketable, good looks and is popular in Asia and Down Under..Tim Urban would be my top3 list But,,sad to say he is not..
Casey is a talented musician with a rich, textured voice. He earned a place in the Top 3 by his talent.
Lee and Crystal are also talented, but have been totally pimped by the judges all season long. Errors are overlooked, weak performances of theirs are praised. It is unprofessional for the judges to openly promote contestants, as they do with Crystal and Lee.
All three will definitely get record contracts. I wish them every success in the music industry.
I didn't see Michael having a career. . . who would buy his music?? What was his style? He didn't really have a genre.
Crystal does. . . Lee does. . . . and Casey does.
